Restarts Which i aborted

I got 5 beta's on 3 machines. One of my machines finished 2 beta's OK. The 3 beta's on my other 2 machines all got stuck in restarting loops like Pramo reported. Message Log and stderr file looked the same as Pramo's. Restarting the machines didn't help. I ended up aborting the 3 WU's.

I have 22 beta work-units, across a few machines, none of which have started processing yet as it's prioritising non-beta work-units over them.

If there is no urgency [the deadline and total work buffer size determines that], then the order remains FIFO.

That makes sense, thanks...

I use 2-day cache on all of my machines, so I guess they'll get round to them eventually.

Re: FightAIDS@Home - VINA Beta test July 9, 2013 - Issues Thread

out of 133, 4 with problems

The 3 aborts and one I let un until it errored out were on one machine- a VM running Windows XP SP3, 4 threads. i tried playing suspend games with it and letting only one beta run by itself, one beta plus a CEP, etc. and it didn't seem to make any difference. Another physical pc with same OS managed to snag two and finish them ok.

The one that errored out currently has one other error, one pv and one IP.
BETA_FAHV_x4I7G_RT_NNRTIadj_wNNRTI_0045254_0001

Looked through a double handful of results (not all) and saw several with errors that I was able to complete. I didn't see any that were total fails :)

Re: FightAIDS@Home - VINA Beta test July 9, 2013 - Issues Thread

All new work has been sent out.

OldChap, they would go first if their deadline was in risk of being hit. But since they are short work unit with a long deadline, I think they're safe.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Shame, I was hoping there would be enough to change my badge colour. crying

Any plans for more Betas in the near future?

I received 5 of these beta WUs. All of them finished in around 30min on my htpc (i7 4770T, Ubuntu 13.04 64bit) without any problems.

Re: FightAIDS@Home - VINA Beta test July 9, 2013 - Issues Thread

You're in the wrong thread. Plz repost in the Beta Android thread for both FAHV and SN2S Vina test.

Sigsegv is BTW of the nature of signal 11 or 15 on Linux based OSses which Android is... device too busy. Don't know at all if BOINC android has cc-config capabilities to set a delayed computing after e.g. power up.
