Thanks, he'll be back at Christmas. I had him from age three until last year, for the school year. I swapped roles with his mom, so now he spends the school years in Maine, and spends the vacations out here. It's a good change, but that is a far away place from California!

An executable WIN32 Trojan called StarBitch!!!
It came from one of four possible sources: AIM Mail, where I opened an attachment from a relative, or addictivegames.com where my son spent alot of time, or that Xciting more or less adult web site that I WILL NOT be visiting anymore, Oe, a Quick Time update!
I really have good confidence in the AV software, though, and have really learned well how to use it. A routine thorough scan discovered it, so I isolated it in the cage. Shredded all temp, cookie and cache files, and then ordered a boot scan. It found 1 infected file, which happenned to be my c drive System Volume Controller Restore registry entry! talk about jus in the nick of time! The identical reg entry in my d drive was unaffected, so I feel real lucky. I' sure I caught it before the timer went off!
