Welcome to the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project.
Bienvenue au nouveau projet de recherche sur les maladies neuromusculaires: "Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy" Ce projet est issu du Programme Décrypthon en France et ses caluls démarrent aujourd'hui sur World Community Grid. "Help Muscular Dystrophy" a pour but de comprendre le rôle fonctionnel des protéines dans l'organisme et d'étudier en détails leurs interactions. Votre participation à ce projet permettra d'aider les chercheurs à dans leur combat contre ces maladies dont font partie les myopathies pour le développement de nouvelles thérapies. Nous remercions ceux et celles qui contribuent à ce nouveau projet en mettant la puissance de calcul inexploitée de leur ordinateur à disposition de la recherche. And to our friends who do not read French: Welcome to the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project, a part of the Decrypthon program in France. In order to understand how proteins perform their necessary functions in living cells, a better and more detailed understanding of function and protein-protein interactions is required, to ultimately help researchers to design therapeutic strategies. Your contribution to this project will result in valuable information being made available for research that is part of the Decrypthon Program. Eventually your contribution will benefit all researchers working on genetic diseases, particularly, neuromuscular diseases. The ultimate hope is that we will help to develop innovative therapies that will lead to treatment for the vast majority of neuromuscular diseases, including Muscular Dystrophy. As the project starts, we thank people everywhere who are making a contribution to this project by donating the unused cycles of their computer to World Community Grid and the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project. |

Is there a statement of the minimum system requirements for this project yet? Yes, at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq The RAM requirements are the same as for Genome Comparison, so this is fairly small. It does require a reasonably fast processor. Lawrence |

The phase 2 release will run on all WCG platforms.
Have to be patient for now, sorry. |

I was looking at the requirements page, and it just says "windows". I assumed that meant BOINC for windows. You might want to make a note on that page that it is UD exclusive. |
