This discussion should really move to the UD agent forum, but here goes: There is an awkward disparity. The UD agent measures credit by wallclock hour. When the default throttle was lowered from 100% to 60%, WCG made the decision not to lower the *wall-clock* hourly score. That said, if your much faster laptop is dual core, you can pimp your points considerably with BOINC. (1) It gives credit per CPU hour, but has a multiplier that gives it the edge over the UD agent, (2) It can on multi-core/multi-threaded CPU's do several jobs in parallel.... more than doubles the points at the end of the day.
