confused Progress: 100% + Status: Waiting to Run?

Hi, I'm kind of new to BOINC and I've searched the FAQs, but I can't find an answer to this question:

My current project from WCG has its progress listed as 100%. It took 9:12:15 to complete, and yet the status still says "Waiting to run." I've tried updating multiple times, but it never uploads. It's due on April 2, and I'm worried I won't be able to solve this problem before the due date. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Progress: 100% + Status: Waiting to Run?

Very likely you run more than 1 project e.g. WCG+Simap, but even within multi-project WCG itself, it happens that the Agent switches to the next job, without truly finishing the last bits to complete. Just let it sit and eventually the scheduler will wrap it up when it's time and show 'Ready to Report' in the task tab or send off that and briefly show 'acknowledged' before being removed from the list.

On April 2.... the agent will reschedule no later than 24 hours before deadline.

Thanks for the response. It was very informative.

When you say the agent will "reschedule, what does this mean? I've read your Schedules post and couldn't find anything about reschedules. Do I need to be worried about it not being submitted before April 2nd (it's been at 100% for at least a week now)?

Thanks.

Hello Takucei,
What project run by WCG is hanging at 100%? Which version of the application program was used to run it? (There have been some recent bugs corrected.) When was the work unit sent to you?
In any event, BOINC should deal with it by the deadline.
What other projects is your BOINC installation running?

I see your confusion. BOINC has an "internal" (Work)Scheduler.... you looked at the Website Scheduling of maintenance. With multi project clients, BOINC will allocate blocks of time to a project and a job. Technically the job is not entirely finished, but was computed to be thus put into a "waiting to run" state due other higher priorities that build in the job switching scheme.

Can you confirm that another job started when the "WTR" happened?
