Want $300 for crunching?

The “UChicago” team has a contest going on right now to see which individual team member can crunch the most points by 24 September, 2006 – the first day of school for the University of Chicago, fall quarter. The winner will be awarded $300 for their efforts. The current leader, myself, hasn’t really contributed that many points, and the runner up has only turned in 4 packets lol. Nonetheless, we expect that more people will join us, but even still, anyone out there with a decent setup who decides to get the most points by the aforementioned date for the “UChicago” team will receive $300 via Paypal, no questions asked. The whole point of this contest was to inspire University of Chicago students to join the WCG, however, the contest is in fact open to everyone.

Good Luck.

P.S. This is the forum post that I will monitor and post on updates regarding the progress of the competition.

Do you have a link to a UC website that gives details and instructions on signing up?

Hi Ady!

Well, really, I was just curious. It would take a cataclysmic(sp?) event to make me leave my team.

However, I do need to finance a quad core cruncher.
Don't have one of those! ( a couple of 8 core machines, but no quad core... ) :)

Re: Want $300 for crunching?

Hmmm. Let me think about it, ok?

Haven't had a Celery since I had dual 366's@551 on a BP-6.

Ok, I've thought about it long enough. No. But, thank you for considering me!
