Servers, dual-core CPUs etc...

Well, almost SOHO, before few upgrades.For the first time noticed overall score over 200 - 202, and CPU score 219 for Sempron 3000+ (OC'd to ~2.2 from standard 1.8GHz), usually it's around 205, or somewhere from 187-210. Too bad max score seems to be limited to 300, so I get 300 for RAM. |

Too bad max score seems to be limited to 300, so I get 300 for RAM. No servers here, our entire network is peer to peer. The only server we have is accessed through the internet using terminal emulation to interact with the AS400/800 system that hosts our acounting package. We do have a Cisco VOIP phone system that utilizes the same network as our computers. We use PTP T-1 lines to connect the remote sites to the main campus. With eight locations around town; the PTP T-1s and VOIP phone system allows us to have one switchboard/voicemail system/firewall for all locations. We just have a lot of PCs that sit idle when the user is doing other things or off duty. None of them are super powerful (they were mid-range when installed), but as a group, they provide significant crunching power.    |

Right, what's the use of powerful CPUs, if all they do is tables? Well, few people here including me are using some CAD software for drafting, but no work with video or raster image editing, so I got P4 based Celeron 2.4 and GF FX5200.
