Nite nite btw Early one for me!

Good morning everyone=seems loke a nice day out there, might get the grass cut if I am lucky

Good morning one and all, the sun glasses are on this morning not because the sun is shining but because the eyes are are a bit sensitive after a rather boozey reunion Saturday evening!. Church parade today at 10-45am and then a short service of rememberance at the Mobbs memorial,( Mobbs formed the 7th Battalion The Northamptonshire Regiment And fought in the 1914-1918 war.) my own Regiments, (I served in two,) are affiliated through amalgations with the 'Mobbs Own', the 7th Bn no longer exist but as a former county Regiment, its traditions and honours are still remembered with pride.
Alas sadly my own Bn 'The Royal Regiment of Fusliers' has also now gone the same way, It is a great shame the way consecutive Goverments have dismantled the County Regiments and formed new ones encompassing a large area of the Country, and whilst there is no doubt that todays soldiers are as good as yesterdays, 'we should be very proud of them', they don't hold the same allegiance to any particular County, because of this, Regiment associations are struggling to find new members.

Dashing through .....................! Off to my daughter's (and she doesn't 'do' late!!) Gotta see little Alfie again (I'm getting withdrawal symptoms - he's the puppy btw) and apparently we are going to the big local park where I shall be able to witness all his latest antics!

Plenty of sun today but the temperature needs notching up a bit for me to be really comfortable outside. Old age of course thins the blood and it might also be the alcohol. Still, a day with no rain is a blessing in itself.
