Low non-constant CPU usage

Hi,

I have installed the Boinc client on a Core2duo 2,8ghz today but it hardly ever fully utilizes my CPU.

There are 2 tasks running so thats not the problem but the CPU usage is going up&down between 35% and 90%.

I have BOINC running on a dual core athlon aswel and there it does constantly use 100% cpu.

What can I do about this?

Thanks

Re: Low non-constant CPU usage

Hi Piskat,

You're running on the Minimum Impact profile most probably. Go to My Grid > Device Manager > Device Profile > Default (BOINC) and select the Maximum Impact radio button. Save and do an Update (button left margin) in the Advanced View > Project Tab of the BOINC client after selecting WCG. Should move you into high gear.

Thanks, that worked.

May I ask where you got your Wcgrid banner?
