...I keep getting Spam fron ebay....or at least it says it comes from ebay....not on my ebay/Paypal special e-mail addy tho'.....that is why I know half the stuff is spam, I use a very special ISP/Addy for those and Amazon....never had a spam message on it at all....

I have gotten so many e-mails from both ebay and paypal it is funny. I never set up an account on ebay and I closed my paypal account because I never used it.

Funny story: 3 years ago I was selling almost 300P4 xeons on ebay.
Had multiples of many types. Used the same pic( and said that in the add) for many auctions. After doing maybe 15 sales in 2 weeks and all went well paypal "limited" my account due to the same pic being used. Called them, got nowhere but kept asking for the person's supervisor. Finally got 3 steps up and the guy refused to let me talk to his supervisor. I had this guys name, told him it moght be smart to let me talk with someone or he'd be explaining to his boss why paypal, a 50 million dollar business at the time, had it's doors locked. Told him I was going to call the local law bar office in Omaha, get some 23 year old kid fresh out of law school that needed to make some $$, give him $500.00 to go and put a restraining order on Paypal and shut them down till my money was released. Five minutes later I had this woman on the phone with a title of " In charge of corporate escalations".. The next morning my account was cleared and no issues since. Never threaten to sue them, takes too long, threaten to have them shut down, far more effective. Oh, it was a bluff, I didn't have an extra $500.00 to blow on fighting them but they didn't know that. You can beat the big guys if you know how.. |
