Now I'm really miffed with teh latest NFCR Newsletter
----------------------------------------Dr. Graham Richards has developed a Ultra Fast Shape recognition platform which significantly increases the efficiency of molecular shape comparison, making drug lead screening faster than ever. Which you can get involved with over at the Screen Saver Lifesaver project at www.grid.org AARRGGHH IBM could you call Dr Richards and let him know that his altruistically donated SuperComputer has been shut down and that the World Community Grid is carrying on that type of research So they can get it in next months newsletter so we can get more PC's onboard here so that those treatments and cures for (in this this case Cancer) can happen that much sooner instead of not at all Please Dave Nelsoc I don't give a fig what you might do to my post getting this sorted out is much much much more important ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Jun 19, 2007 12:17:28 PM] |

Dave,
----------------------------------------I got 2 fig trees in the garden and the leaves are larger than ever.... more CO2.... so much so, that both Adam and Eve could hide the parts that need not hiding before the apple fell off the tree into the pathway of the innocent, behind a single one. Dr. Richards knows alright.... he learned same date as the grorg members. He even put up a thank you message, just has not captured all his pages, but certainly the one I saw over a month ago had the download links disabled. I think many more are interested to learn what compounds in the final run were identified by Dr.GR. out of the 500,000-43,360 CPU years of volunteer computing and what the results were.... any papers noteworthy.

Sek the researchforacure.com page detailed in his write up for the original Think project now links to a page where you can search for adult material and illegal MP3's
----------------------------------------If Dr Richards and the National Foundation for Cancer Research know...why then are they still promoting an unfortunately obsoleted project that is no longer producing any Cancer Research when there is this one that the Grid.orger's have backed wholeheartedly (Thanks Grid.orger's ![]() For those that are not in know the title of this thread refers to the insane recipe idea's they have in each monthly newsletter when they really should have a link to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org. Sek I know you mean well but it's the IBM project team that need to pick up the Phone and speak to Dr Richards about the WCG possibilities and also communicate with the National Foundation for Cancer of our presence. This has gone on way way too long I cannot wait until the next pointless Newsletter for NFCR next month it needs sorting NOW Is it just me who has a sense of urgency about finding new treatments and improved diagnosis techniques for Cancer? Dave,
----------------------------------------actually dark/pure chocolate is a permitted edible for diabetics.... http://www.diabetesmonitor.com/chocolate.htm I know I know, but we cant improve the world single handedly.... we'll pass the message to bbover3 and maybe if JP reads this he gets in touch as he so often has done on behalf of the grorg members.

Cool like you say maybe not single handedly but there have been over 300,000 involved in this team so far
----------------------------------------I've sent my emails to NFCR if we could rally a few more they might sit up and take notice and take the pointlessness out of next months batch of newsletters If typing www.worldcommunitygrid.org is a tall order to bring on new contributors to Cancer Research maybe theyll support http://www.wcgrid.org Dave ![]() |

Naturally, UD is too hard-pressed financially to have www.grid.org redirected to www.wcgrid.org
Or to even put up an explanatory web page even without a redirection to show their not favouring anyone. |

It is gone gone... times out as they've switched off the 'mission completed' page with the link to the uninstall page.... imagine those that have not looked at their agent for a month.
