..... okay. It's hard to understand your posts and more with difficulty to answer with my english. so, please, let me try.
- Yes, it was my intention to be offensive. This is the kind of sarkasm (hope t'is word is written correct) we (Germans) love. You can call it find German humor if you want. - No, I didnot start this thread as a meeting to discriminate against Americans! Pardon me please, if I stepped you on the feet. (A German phrase to ) I like political discussions. Thats why I posted Hershs articel here. A very simple reason, I hope. - I'm sure, I am not the only one I, thinks in such a way. I am not the one who makes this thread deplorable. I wanted to start a serious discussion and not WWWI or WWII. Hitler died 60 years ago, and with his dead, a very very sad chapter of German history ended. At the moment, we do have a social chancellor. (Unfortunatley I know that some people all over the world still believe Hitler leads us) - I would have had to know that there is majority at Americans here. And I would have had to know, that some (NOT all) of them dont like sarkastic criticism on their behavior in opposite to other countries. Apology also for this. - One reason for your justified behavior could be you didnot understand my text without misunderstandings based on my language errors. - Last but not least, I have to excuse that I know who started 22 military interventions in last 60 years (exept WWII) and three campaigns for oil! I love peace! So excuse me please, when I am upset to read that there will ever be ONE COUNTRY starting war when there is a prospect on peaceful solutions! I have to excuse me, that I am a citizen of the federal republic of Germany, which is a member of the liberal European union (EU) itself! I feel sorry that I have the possibility to fight peacefully against war whenever it's possible! Pardon me that I really hate your president! Pardon me I know about the country that tortures, that hurts the human rights with jails and prison, that didnot undersign the UN's convention on child rights, that didnot undersign the Kyoto agreement to protect the world's climate! I ask for assigning that I am not supposed to belive your presidents lies! (I love sarcastic lyrics) Please donot feel this is addressed to you! P... didn't vote for bush or one of those 200 states, that would have voted for Kerry I hope you can imaging why I've written this text and the first post and that this this diversity of opinion has no influence zo our futural co-operation! thank you for reading |

 Hi SchaengelLet me first say that you were never critizised for your message You were critized for the manner in which you posted it Offensive language is frowned upon in the forums As an adult I am sure you are more than capable of expressing yourself in a more courteous manner and still get your point across Offensivel language sets a bad example Please remember that there are no age barriers in these forums Members as young as 10 years old are probably viewing these messages And to be fair to the parents of these children, it does not project a very good image to the future potential members that we are trying to attract I would appreciate very much if you would please take the time to click on edit in your original post and remove the offensive language This would go a long way in redeeming yourself and at the same time make my job much easier My wise old father used to say "Monkey See Monkey Do" and by removing the offensive language we reduce the risk of it becoming a trend Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated I for one, will be the first to thank you I would very much appreciate if members other than Schaegel refrain from responding to my answer here In the interests of peace and harmony, the least said the better Under the circumstances , I hope that this is not too much to ask Best Regards [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 18, 2005 2:49:19 PM] |

Hi schaengel You are right, your original thread has been locked to ensure that no more posts can be added to it "Monkey see monkey do" means following another persons actions without considering the consequences Sometimes this can have a undesirable, nuetral or good effect In this case it had an undesirable effect as it almost caused a flame war I really think we should put this matter to rest And every one should let this incident become part of the past Lets all get on with our objective to process work units and work in harmony for the good of the project I would very much appreciate if members other than Schaegel refrain from responding to my answer here In the interests of peace and harmony, the least said the better Under the circumstances , I hope that this is not too much to ask Best Regards [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 18, 2005 5:24:04 PM] |
