am i the only 1 or is the boinic task manager downloading at unusably slow speeds , bit torrent is supposed to be faster not slower
any ideas appreciated demt http://www.twra5t.co.uk ive just switched to BOINIC after a year on the IBM machine hopefully ive missed something |

Not familiar with anything called BOINIC. Possibly you meant BOINC
---------------------------------------- .WCG does not use the bittorrent distribution. That is something for the further future. Why downloading would be slower, I don't know and it's also not really of importance unless on dial-up. Why is, because BOINC transmits while computing.... multitasking so to speak. Added: The default profile for transmission speed with BOINC is unrestricted, but you can limit if you like.

The WCG site was running slow earlier today. Maybe that was it.
