Dave,

You have two great collections there. Mozart stirs my brain, but Beethoven stirs my emotions. Happy listening.

Cheers

Sgt. Joe --

Well put. Since I first posted that, I decided to change my order and will now be getting Bach's complete works as well. What do you think -- calming comes to my mind.

Dave, I should get down in the basement and dig thru things. Many, many years ago in the days of vinyl, I got a classical music collection put out by Deutche Grammaphone as I recall. Huge thing, about a dozen or so boxes with half a dozen or more records each. I think I have the complete Brandeberg concerto as well (that may be one part of a three part Bach set). Alas, I don't have anything to play them on these days. These days, I have been known to grab the CD of a movie soundtrack. Hans Zimmer's work for Gladiator proved useful on occasion for motivational use on the way to work. The soundtrack to The Time Machine proved to be more open to my imagination though.

Re: smile smile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 20 smile smile

Kinda off topic but I just bought myself a new koi. Actually it is an Orenji Ogon that is about 10 inches long and is 'in my opinion' just barely a grade B almost an A. I am so stoked about this fish. Absolutely beautiful. Pics to come I hope.

Hi Hintsala --
Are they better better baked or fried? Just kidding biggrin -- a pond with koi is absolutely beautiful and I would bet very rewarding.

Well since they are from the carp family I would say smoked. Yes the watching them swim around in a pond is very rewarding and relaxing. This is my fifth koi (one of the original jumped out of the pond).

I think the gum ball thing would be pretty cool. The only thing I would be worried about is someone overfeeding the fish because they will eat themselves to death from what I hear.

Re: smile smile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 20 smile smile

Hintsala

I keep discus but due to an encounter with My Goldfish that had jumped out of it's tank and was flipping about on the carpet when I got up in the dark and picked him up much to my surprise when I was about 5 I have a totally irrational fear of them (which I am finally overcoming) despite being a tropical fish fan (They are no problem behind glass smile)

Anyway why this waffle?

I once went to a fish shop with Koi in raised ponds. They were stunning and some quite massive - very calming and peaceful - until one decided to leap clear of the water

I ran for my life blushing

laughing

Stupid I know but there you go

I wish you well with your new fish

Dave

Well, I never saw one doing the backstroke but then I never recall seeing a small one either. I think some would have easily made 15 inches. If you threw the whole handfull of food pellets in at once, it was like those movie scenes of piranha in a feeding frenzy. If you were down by the edge of the pond feeding them, they would almost climb on top of each other trying to get to you - well, the food really. As big as these guys were, I imagine they would have been a good bit on the tough side, even if smoked. wink
