In the past few days I have started to get the message that "This page contains both secure and non-secure items...do you wish to continue?" when I display any of my results pages. This did not used to happen and I am wondering what has changed, either on my machine or on the results pages.
BTW, it does not seem to matter which I select the IBM logo on the right hand side of the pages is the only thing that I can see appearing after I answer. |

Does it say http://www. or https://secure in the address bar? If you switch to the former after log in, you wont have the issue. There's some setting in IE to disable that message, but never done it. Rarely use the beast but for the few sites that insist on IE like Windows Update.

I too noticed this recent change. I know how to stop it, but the question really is "why did it suddenly start doing that?". Something on the website changed???

It appears that menus on the non-secure pages send me back to the secure site.
----------------------------------------Maybe the fix is for WCG to fix the links or not to reference items on non-secure servers on the secure pages. |

Rarely use the beast but for the few sites that insist on IE like Windows Update. It happens only on the WCG secure server pages of my results...in other words https:/ ones... Yes, the problem appears to be the IBM logo is a link to a non-secure site. Has this logo just been put onto these pages? |

Here's the IE 7 way to get rid of the message. http://www.wallpaperama.com/forums/windows-di...nonsecure-items-t274.html
----------------------------------------Because the disabling can be set separately for each of the 4 areas, Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites and Restricted sites, select Trusted Sites and add http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org and https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org You need to untick the "Require Server. . . ." box at bottom to be able to add http:// sites. After, apply the custome level, Allow Mixed Content enabled. This way, trusted sites can mix, but the other 3 groups cant. Just applied it and no more pop-ups. Edit: Substituted 'Restrict' with 'Require Server....' Also see Screenshots in post further down for a visualization of the steps to perform.

Well that did not work...why not just get WCG to remove that non-secure link? After all others are having this problem which was not there a few days ago....

I visited the link that you provided Seker. It says the root cause is poor website design .

well you're such bride guys or is it happy campers NiChx? Who knows will WCG adjust the link in the forthcoming revision, which should be around when Dengue launches.
----------------------------------------The work around works for me and anyone following the instructions need not 'suffer', whilst not compromising security in any significant way (AFAIK).
