I frequently unplug my laptop and move around, I would like the ability to have the Primary Task continue to execute.

 Hi BarramundiYou do not need to be connected to the server at WorldCommunityGrid to excecute the task of folding your Work Unit However you do need to connect to the server at WorldCommunityGrid to upload your completed result However no more Processing of a Work Unit will take place untill you connect to the server and Upload your completed Work Unit and download a New Work Unit Regards [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 24, 2005 5:16:22 PM] |

Oops... Sorry I wasn't clear... I meant plugged into the electrical outlet. I notice that the client stops executing to save battery. This is good but sometimes I am just roaming about and close to the outlet.

Barramundi,
This is something that I wish could be in the agent. I understand the default to conserve power but I wish there was an option (even hidden on a command line). That way, if I wish to run the agent when there is no AC power, I can still contribute. |
