As the title suggests, I will be leaving WCG tomorrow once my last units are crunched.
----------------------------------------I started here in November 2005 shortly before my Dad died suddenly of brain cancer just before Christmas after a short illness, and since then I have dedicated my time here to him - but due to personal reasons and circumstances I can no longer continue. Since being here I would like to feel I have made a worthwhile contribution both to the projects and this forum: Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) (Rank) 21:284:10:34:57 (#210) Points Generated (Rank) 19,624,039 (#40) Results Returned (Rank) 45,637 (#87) I hope my Dad looking down is proud of me and the contributions I have made - I miss him so much. I would like to emphasise that I have no issues what so-ever with WCG and I will not be crunching at any other projects. Finally I would like to say thank you to all those who have made my time here such an enjoyable one, to all the great folks I otherwise would not have come to know, and to the WCG staff who work long hours keeping everything running as smoothly as possible (particularly you Kevin (knreed)  )I suppose its kind of ironic that my final day here tomorrow will be to watch this thread slowly sink down to oblivion  Crunch on folks - and make a difference  Ady  [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 7, 2007 6:09:01 PM] |

Ady, oh my goodness I'm at a loss for words here. I'm shocked, I couldn't believe that I was reading this right. I had to go back and read it again.
----------------------------------------Wow, I am really sad to hear this news.  I honestly feel I could cry right now.  I know you said for personal reasons you have to leave and I respect that but damn this is hard to take. You are a wonderful person Ady, I have always considered you my friend. I know we have had differences of opinions before but we always worked through them and I admired that about us, that we could do that. WCG is losing a great person. You have certainly been a true asset to WCG but I don't think of it as that. People here are losing a great guy. *sigh* Gee whiz, I honestly don't know what to say as this comes as such a shock...... I am really going to miss you around here. Not seeing your post is going to be tough. What a sad day.... Thank you Ady for being you! *hugs & kisses* Will you still be popping into the different forums? *fingers crossed* I sure hope so! Ady, whatever the reason for you leaving may be, I wish you much happiness and all good karma in the world sweetie, you certainly deserve it. Sorry to see you leave Ady but thanks for dropping by the good ship coconaut from time to time. As you state in your post I am sure that your Dad is proud of your contrbutions, and you should be as well, you will be missed round here.

A great loss to every aspect of dc. Take care Ady and thank you for all you've done both in the projects and the project communities. Hope to see you stop by the various boards from time to time. |
