I just bought a new computer running vista. I already have an account running under xp. Can I add the new computer on to my account and how do I do it?

Presuming that you are using the BOINC agent, then install BOINC and follow the installation instructions. You will sign on with your user name and password.
----------------------------------------Have you read the Vista FAQ? Install to C:\BOINC (not in Program Files). If you run the registry edit, you will not have errors when you restart Vista. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00Copy/paste the code above to notepad and save as Timeout.reg or some other name that you like as long as it ends in .reg. Save the file to Documents and then right-click it and Merge to edit your registry. I prefer to install it to run as a Service, but that is up to you. It runs fine either way. If you run as a service, you can make a shortcut to C:\BOINC\boincmgr.exe on the desktop to view the BOINC Manager. ![]() |
