Help! I have a problem with the version, either BOINC or UD(?), on my system at home. I have recently downloaded and correctly installed both of these and I can't tell if either is operating correctly. A couple of things: (1) when I start WCG the system suddenly has a considerable amount of noise I have not heard before like the fan running at a high speed or the hard disk being used too much; and (2) when I attempt to use BOINC I am asked for specifics about the project(s) I want but I have no idea how to specify.

I explicitly stop the agent and all of this system activity stops.

I want to specify the amount of hard disk space to use and the amount of CPU to use but I don't see anything in the download to allow this. If the CPU is being used too much to cause the fan noise (or whatever), how do I tell? I know I can go to the task manager-performance-on my system at work and see 95% CPU usage as I have it set, but the system at home is not nearly this much. Does anyone have any ideas?
