PS3 Grid breaks a world record

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7074547.stm

Sad to see one of the links on the BBC now goes to the defunct grid.org

I still can't quite believe there are enough PS3's out there to break this World Record

We should be up to taking it back off them wink

Who's up for a challenge?

My sons PS3 crunches 24/7 when not being used to play games. I would switch it from folding@home to WCG in a heartbeat if I could. raised eyebrow

Re: PS3 Grid breaks a world record

I wasn't really thinking about adding a really expensive games console to the mix

Just spreading the news that we are here to all those folks with....pc's and mac's

were not just folding proteins and yet in a BBC news item about distributed computing we don't get a mention

knock knock Dear IBM it has come to my attention...................................

Man, I do wonder? But where money goes, ignorance follows. But we are the tortoise to their hare...
Maybe cures will eventually become more crucial than notoriety to those poor folk.
