I am running BOINC Manager 5.10.22 . I did not see a method to change the report deadline. In fact I have seen in other posts that DDDT has a deadline of 9 days. So, I guess there is no way to change the deadline when you know your computer is not going to make it. Currently, my machine has past the deadline for the DDDT work that it was performing. It is still doing work on that unit of work. Why hasn't it moved onto a different unit of work if the deadline is passed ? What will happen with this unit of work that is past the deadline ?

There is a grace period - if you only just miss the deadline, you may still get credit.
If not, then you might as well abort it. The work unit will already have been sent and completed by another member. BOINC doesn't usually abort work that has been started, since there are circumstances when late results are still useful. |
