It would be nice to be able to view/edit member profile/project/device preferences at any time on the WCG web pages.

When the statistics are being generated, both the "STATISTICS" and the "MY GRID" "button" pages are unavailable, though the member preferences would seem to be unrelated to the statistics-update process.

Would it be possible to separate My Grid from the statistics update process, or to split it into a "My Statistics" and "My Grid Configuration"?

Also or alternatively, would it be possible/practical to keep the old statistics available for the STATISTICS and MY GRID buttons while the new statistics are being generated, so the unavailable-page time would be reduced to just the time that the new version of the statistics database is being copied onto the "current" results? Of course, this would double the disk-space requirement, but could reduce the unavailable time significantly.
