We would appreciate if anyone who was interested, if they would download and start using the 5.10.30 version of the World Community Grid - BOINC agent. If there are no show stoppers, then we will be making this the standard version in the near future.

Some of the key changes from the current version (5.10.22):

• Use libCurl 7.17.1 instead of 7.16.1
  
• Fix several bugs with the simple preferences controls
  
• Add the use of the BOINCTray (tool that will correctly suspend BOINC if preferences are set to not run while the user is using the computer - previously in certain cases this was not working correctly)
  
• The cc_config.xml file will not be overwritten if an existing version is there (or removed when you uninstall). Please note that if you are using the 5.10.22 version it will still remove the cc_config.xml when you upgrade to this version since it still invokes an action on the old installer.
  
• The logic to check for the UD agent will not be run for Windows 98, ME or Windows 2000. This will allow some of those users to install the BOINC agent when they previously could not.
