applause Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Something unusual was afoot indeed. Was it 'Oumuamua coming back and swooping over our heads ? Was it our team making for an obscure reason the front page of some major news outlet ? Was it radiations emanating from yesterday's full blood-red total lunar eclipse ?

No.

The mystery was finally solved thanks to the mischivious intervention in our humble forum of BladeD and little_mermaid (who avered to be two of the many White-Hat Pirates extraordinaires of Base Camp).

Here is our unofficial official statement about this most surprising (for us) affair.

And again, to conclude, a few well deserved words to all of you who took part in this most delicious coup :

A friendly warning: in the future, it is not impossible for one or more of our team members to visit Base Camp to join some of its joyous raids. It would be a shame to resist such infectuous ideas, after all.

Good Morning Base Campers!

The graph at Carl Sagan this morning looks thusly:

When will they discover something is going on?
Eight new stars shining ....

acpartsman, did you multi-multi core 'device' start turning in the results you expected from her?

It's been returning results since the day I got it. But as with others I've gotten to replace lesser machines the graphs just don't show any change. If anything they show less instead of more. confused

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Pierre A Renaud, thank you very much for your kind words.
It should be a pleasure for Base Camp if one or more
team Carl Sagan members decided to go on one or more of our treks.

We have one planned for September when we'll try to band together
and to push SeriousCrunchers far up on the ladder at the THOR Challenge 2019
- much as we had the good luck to do with
Base Camp's Grand Galla SNURK Celebration Trek that developed beyond plans
and with the help of crunchers from all corners of WCG secured
team SNURK and Friends a position as #4 in that prestigious race.

Treks will normally be announced in this thread, and on special occasions
- and the THOR Challenge 2019 is certainly a special occasion
we will send out WCG-wide invitations and try to drum up as many participants as possible.

acpartsman, according to BladeD you are suffering a temporary glitch
Hope it passes soon wink

I am going to hazard a guess at what the problem might be. You may have attached your new machine to a different account. Does your machine show up in your device statistics at all ? Does it show up in your machine tally on Boincstats ?
(I see you have your hosts hidden there, but you should be able to see your machines.) Good luck.
Cheers

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

acpartsman, I wish I could help, but it's beyond me, and I hope you'll get more input.
How about opening a thread with the subject, which seems to be rather strange?
By all means, stefada, please pour me one of those delicious and healthy looking
back-to-earth drinks
tongue

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Business
- nothing, really, which shall not keep me from talking, of course angel
We do have a trek to do with SeriousCrunchers come September and the THOR Challenge ....
.... but what to do in the meantime?

Not much either. However, at my age one can always serve up a health story, right? laughing
Reestablished contact with my GP after having been monitored more or less
by my heart nurse for about a year.
We discussed monitoring osteopenia, new relief - if any - for fibromyalgia,
and established a routine for EKGs and blood tests at regular intervals for what chronically ails me.
The good news is that the Heart Association and the insurance company with which I have my travel insurance
have come up with some measurements that will make it easier
- and probably more expensive
to get an advance approval before venturing out in the world with a stable 'preexisting condition'.
All of a sudden another visit to the USA flag flag flag seems to be within reach love struck
