I have completed one of the new HCC units, but it was in error. I am using Vista, and I just updated boinc to 5.10.30. below is a copy of part of my message log:

MD5 check failed
The workunit was corrupted, so BOINC rejected it. This means it became corrupted in between downloading it and starting it - you should check your harddrive, it may be failing. |

Before I panic about my harddrive, could this have happened during the upgrade of the BOINC client to 5.10.30? Thanks, Dan Town |

It's not impossible - but check the drive anyway.

I set it to check for errors on restart and rebooted the computer. The drive seems to be ok. A second HCC WU was completed by the same computer and it is valid. It was just the one WU. Hopefully it was just an isolated incident.
Thanks, Dan Town |
