Hi,
Having used World Community Grid Agent for some time I downloaded the Boinc agent and am having the undernoted problem. I left the SETI project when they moved to Boinc because I had problems then. Can anybody help please? I am not particularly computer-smart but do want to continue helping if possibleScheduler 30/11/2007 19:34:06|http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. The techs already know about the problem, but they haven't responded yet.
I have nagged them about it on your behalf. |

I just loaded the client onto an new PC and am getting the same error. Everything I see indicates that it is a WCG problem, not on my end. Any clues as to what's going on?

Absolutely, server errors are WCG's problem.
As far as I know, the techs are working flat out trying to get HCC back on Linux. Everything else is taking second place. But this is important enough that hopefully they will focus on it immediately. My guess is that this is a preference-related problem. Affected people seem to already have preferences, but they crashing the server. We have seen it before, in isolated cases. This is the first time it has been widespread. |

FYI,
When I attempt to "update" the project via boincmgr. I see the following: (I have to type this as boincmgr will not "copy the line") Scheduler request failed: problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?) Maybe a clue? Thanks |

schapkl, you have an entirely different problem. In fact, it's answered in the FAQ: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=14222

My HTTP server error is different, I believe. I see positive messages about SSL and the error seems to come later. I just checked today and it is still failing.
Thanks |

Correct, gl2845. The techs know about your problem (quite a few people have it) and are investigating.

I'm sorry. It appeared that my problem was the same. Sorry that I "corrupted" the thread. Your link solved my issue!
Thank you! |
