Blizzie, you may not go far now but don't make a lifetime of that. In the summers during college, get out and travel, do a summer abroad session, go somewhere - just as long as you keep your crunchers going while you're gone! laughing laughing I've been somewhere in about 45 of the 50 states and on at least 3 continents so far. It's been nothing like my folks though. They've been to every continent but Antartica, met Fidel Castro with Jimmy Carter, been to the Sahara and more countries than I'll ever see. They've finally settled down now that they're in their mid-80's. Seeing the world and life from a perspective outside the US is a real eye-opener.

Wow -- Great numbers all around. Congrats to parmesian and Dataman today.

I got power back to my laptop today, so my processing is back to normal and my points should be back to normal soon. Good thing it is back up because I will probably need the heat tonight. Pretty severe weather out there. Last I heard, we are expecting 9 to 12 inches of snow here in the far southwest suburbs of Chicago and high winds are expected along with it. Looking out my window, I would say visibility through the snow is down to about 1/8 mile. I think people are being smart and staying inside. There are no tracks in or out of my parking lot at all now. Good night to hibernate!

Re: smile smile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 22 smile smile

Well, I have managed to recreate the Hall of Fame banner graphic, at least very closely, and have redone the points ones and have most of the results ones. I'll finish the results ones tomorrow and then it's on to figuring out the runtime ones. Hall of Fame - My Runtime - x Years is too long. I may go with My CPU instead of My Runtime - I do prefer to have all three types say My something. wink I'm open to ideas though. In the meantime, 4AM is late enough. I'm too old for this. laughing

Well, I have the results HOF banners done along with the points ones. Results banners go from 100 to 200,000. Now to figure out the runtime ones - we only need 100 of those. Im at least trying to use a sensible and consistent naming convention with them. Once I have the runtime ones set, I should be ready or real close to ready to load up all our graphics to the website.

never to old Keith.

You going to be ok on your year end goal?

I think it's safe to say that baring the unexpected/inconceivable, it's just a question of when, not if. MOT's a GREAT team that's really rallied behind something I never thought we would do when I first suggested it. Amazing and humbling. You're always welcome to join us for the finish anyway! biggrin

Re: smile smile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 22 smile smile

Okay, here's some number crunching on what it will take to pass 50,000,000 points by a given day:

12/30 15 days 162,245.13333 points/day
12/29 14 days 173,834.07143
12/28 13 days 187,205.92308
12/27 12 days 202,806.41667
12/26 11 days 221,243.36364
12/25 10 days 243,367.70000

Safe to say it will likely be after Christmas (man would that be a nice present to ourselves to hit it on Christmas). If you're going away for Christmas, leave you machines on laughing

Okay folks. this is not a benevolent dictatorship by any stretch. As I've said before, MY RUNTIME won't fit on the HOF banners and let me go to 100 years (three digits leave LOTs of room for extending later) UNLESS I abbreviate YEARS as YRS. I know that doesn't sound like much of a deal but remember that we're global with folks where English is not their first language. As you can see from the three samples below, I have MY TIME, MY CPU and MY RUNTIME with years abbreviated. There are plusses and minusses to all. Feedback please. praying

Keep in mind the others say MY POINTS and MY RESULTS. Also note that all three are really the same size - at least when i look at them thru IE on my machine. Not sure why the last one shows up larger here. Maybe it's a Photobucket thing?

Edit: I'll be. It's a PREVIEW thing here. Lovely forum software. Sigh......
