[RESOLVED]Running 2 projects simultaneously on a dual core CPU

Hi I have a dual core CPU and I'd like to know if it is possible to run two projects simultaneously instead of switching between the two every 60 minutes.

Re: Running 2 projects simultaneously on a dual core CPU

BOINC runs tasks simultaneously by default if you have multiple processors.

The task switch time setting only applies if you are attached to multiple BOINC projects (WCG counts as a single BOINC project).

What makes you think only one task is running?

In this screen capture. You can see that boinc is using multiple processors to complete two World Community Grid tasks. But I want to be able to use one processor for World Community Grid and the other for Seti@Home instead of rotating between the two projects.

Not possible. BOINC manages projects on system time share and not at core time share level.

Nope. Boinc is doing it now! Perhaps it was just finishing up processing for previous tasks. Anyway thanks for the input!

Okay, if you would please change the Opening Post Title by operating the little pencil next to it and insert in brackets [RESOLVED] Running 2 projects simultaneously on a dual core CPU, we can ask the admin to lock the thread as being complete.
