waiting for the cheese shipment

once had a shipment of oranges come ashore knee deep in them



mostly okay the orange skin kept the sea out

made gallons of orange wine ...............

I can remember the radio with the large high voltage battery and the accumulator that you had to get recharged.
That was when we had no electricity but then the farm got a generator and piles of acid batteries and produced 110v direct current primarily to work the milking machines.
But it then got a line to our cottage and, for the first time we didn't have to rely on oil lamps.
Being a cheeky kit at the local grammar, I soon sorted out that you could charge the accumulated at home and then replace the the massive battery with the 110v direct current.
I have no idea why my parents trusted me, but it worked until they finally moved on from that cottage.
