Is there a problem with BOINC omputing hours run and/or points?

My computer has been running WUs for days now, 24 hours a day. I'm only seeing a fe hours of run time on my grid. I know it's running more than 5 or 9 hours a day.

The points seem low, also. A week ago, I did 2 WUs and got well over 1000 points. Now 2 results is only about 1/4 of the points. Am I misunderstanding how BOINC works?

It seems I'm running my computer alot for very few results.

The My Grid update your runtime and results based upon work units that
has been validated as "Status Valid". That could take a while, as some other
device must also complete their WU and return a result.

Oh, it just seems that since February 13th, the points and hours decreased dramatically, even thought I seem to be running shorter WUs.

I'll see what happens in a few days. It just looks suspicious, like maybe some of the WUs are not completed properly.

Thanks

Re: Is there a problem with BOINC omputing hours run and/or points?

There are several other threads that explain
- why FAAH WUs are much shorter currently
- how this has caused a large increase of the number of results returned by day
- that sometimes the validators have some difficulty to follow that pace
- and finally that FAAH WUs should be back to their usual size pretty soon, allowing things to return progressively to what they were before this incident.

To know all details on your WUs the best is still as always to look at your Results Status page and use the various filters to help you if you have many WUs to examine.

Cheers. Jean.
