BOSTON — Dangerously hot temperatures are expected to spread across the Central and Eastern United States on Wednesday through the weekend, with temperatures soaring above 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the hardest-hit places, the National Weather Service has warned.

Odd, it's like I have this thing for the weather; thing is, I do not. d oh

Basically, that is covered on every kind of media ... in the news, in politics (boo!), interrupting sport games - ugh! The USA has (and Europe) with all that heat, and THIS in the news ....

— Severe storms rolled through Friday, amid a second-straight day of near-tropical humidity.

A round of powerful thunderstorms developed in the late afternoon, producing damaging winds, hail as large as baseballs and heavy rain. There were tornado watches and warnings issued, but nothing was reported to have materialized.

Near-tropical humidity? giant hailstorms? Where?
Miinneapolis, Minnesota ... geez, what's next? Sharknadoes? laughing

Back up after a major 'clean the house or find another place to live' hiatus! I thought that only happened when we were teenagers! Well, I am in my 60's, and back home helping mom and my older brother. Mom still goes on the warpath if I fall back upon old 'pigpen' habitss!
