Does anyone know why some results don't average out?

----------------------------------------please review this thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=19006 for a long discussion. The nutshell is that the claim difference is too great for the averaging rule! 1. If too great, the rule looks for the claimants history and who's nearest will be used for both in the quorum. 2. If too great and both are deviating from a second mean i.e. both not claiming a proper amount, the rule looks for a wider average and applies it to both. That can fall inside or outside the 2 original claims. Sample discussed in linked thread. It's academic as soon the DDDT jobs will go to single distribution and an new rule will be applied. Details not known yet, but some other projects outside WCG have successfully applied a credit technique based on larger pools and single distribution.
