Maximum period of caching work units

I've got a question with regards to the maximum period for which you can have the BOINC client download extra work units.

In a few weeks I will be changing my internet provider, which will probably mean no internet at home for 1-2 weeks. Obviously I would like to keep crunching, so I was planning to get for example 2 weeks of work for my machines just before my current provider cuts me off. I know you can set the number of days of extra work to be cached in your profile, however I assume there are limitations to how high you can set this.

Q1: is there a maximum to which you can set the "Cache X extra days of work" in your profile, or could I freely set this to 14 days?

Q2: I know WCG expects an answer for submitted workunits after a while. I seem to remember that HPF2 gives you the longest time. Is that correct? How long does HPF2 give you?

Q3: Is there anything else I should watch out for?

Thanks in advance for your answers biggrin

Re: Maximum period of caching work units

Read this faq which pretty much covers the whole buffering topic as far as WCG is concerned.

Re: Maximum period of caching work units

If I know I am going to be gone for awhile, I will set "no new tasks" in the BOINC project tab several days ahead of time and draw the queue down to empty.

If there are unforeseen circumstances causing the outage period to get longer (as with connection problems in the new ISP), it won't then be full of workunits that could be returned late.

Upon return, it only takes a few minutes to fill up the queue again.
