Just mised 7th ...

Using calculus, I extrapolated that we might get there in roughly 11.8 days. That is if member join rates are roughly pseudo-constant, but will be 11.2-11.3 if we get another bingo book cruncher like webnx.com by wednesday.
Either way, that makes it thursday's update.

I haven't used exponentials yet, though. Let's see... calculus versus spreadsheets... if calculus doesn't work, I'm goina use moderated exponents, then the fibonacci numbers..

Result are like you say essential to the science. But results are just luck of the draw some take 20 minutes others take 2 weeks. So they are not a fair measure as we just might have been luckier with the WU's we've been allocated. Points are the only true measure of how many calculations your PC is contributing to this effort.

To point out how easy it is to get results have a look at jclawl's results count and how much CPU time has been contributed to this effort. jclawl must have something wrong with his/her PC but we have yet to get in touch to sort this problem out.

That's why we are not 5th in the world we are 8th

but very soon to be 7th and eventually 5th

Bummer, I have been off the forums here for a few months. if I would have known the points would not transfer I would have joined a few months back. for almost 2 weeks I had 31 2.8ghz machines running :) I did more than a year of processing in that time. now I only have 6-10 systems going, but I am sure it will help some.
