its ok to use it with WCG ? and one of my pc is using win2k3 as PDC (boinc 6.2.14 didn't support until next version) so i left it with 5.10 version. its ok too ?

It is not a recommended release by WCG. There are reported problems with it which first need to be understood, so it will be a while before WCG will adopt this or a release that includes the WCG skin and automatic attaching to this project. From Berkeley release notes:
----------------------------------------Stability and Problems This version of BOINC has been tested for over 6 months and is deemed stable by the testers. Which does not mean it will run stably on your machine. If you do have problems with it, please post about it on the BOINC Dev forums, where we will be able to help you or get the developers to chime in. If you must, here's an installation instruction: http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?language=1&view=344 Service is referred to in the new installer as "Protected Application Execution". Recommended for Vista as I've come across continued blocking when installed as single user or the core client not loading. Be warned.

oh well, since i'm only attached to WCG project; let me try it for 1-2 weeks (may be more

Testers are always welcomed. When I manually get it to run, it crunches fine. Seeing reports of broken things that worked in 5.10.45 and not fixed with this 6.2 release and now scheduled for 6.4.

1 week passed testing with boinc 6.2.14 no problem at all except for screensaver little screw up (not loading or reporting boinc need to be run = for win)

BOINC 6.2.14 has been withdrawn by Berkeley, and downgraded to a test release (superseded by 6.2.15, but that's not going to be the last version by any stretch of the imagination).

Berkeley should, could, would do good, to set a message ready for if the client checks again on a version change to tell 6.2.14 was withdrawn!
----------------------------------------Better still, there was fanfare on their front page and RSS news feed. July 30, 2008 BOINC 6.2.14 is now the recommended version for all platforms. Upgrade now. Let's be respectful of the volunteers and tell them it's retracted! WCG asked them before to exercise restraint to push the word out. Withdrawing "recommended" several weeks after 6.2.14 was put out in beta and then promoted is embarrassing.

Recommended version at boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php is now version 6.2.16, dated 8 Aug 08.

6.2.16 was not tested at all, despite a number of problem reports. I don't recommend it.

If installing on Vista in Unprotected mode, check if boinctray.exe is there. Not here!
