For 3rd party Account Management Systems (AMS) World Community Grid is currently only partially enabled, some parts remaining Read Only. It is thus necessary for changes at for instance My Projects choices and project weight to visit the My Grid > My Project and Device manager > Device Profiles pages.
----------------------------------------Direct changes to the client such as no new tasks / allow new tasks'' works as normal to include the WCG remove project and detach all hosts now function since these are direct AMS / Client (host) interactions. At this time it is not known when World Community Grid will add the full AMS functionality such as for ''BOINC Account Manager'' and ''Grid Republic''. A base differential to overcome is the secure communications requirement over https. That's a mandatory requirement for this distributed computing grid. Overall these systems are not without issue and could lead to unexpected behavior. An older outstanding ticket is found here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/ticket/518. Known AMS providers are: BAM: http://boincstats.com/bam/ GR: http://www.gridrepublic.org/index.php?param=home Some factoids: A) The project lists page http://boincstats.com/bam/projects.php should show next to WCG with the selection ![]() Attach new host by default? column. B) Do not update BAM in the client until the CPID has synchronized again and WCG My Profile shows the new value when the email address was changed. C) The BAM project CPID should be refreshed when changing email addresses at http://boincstats.com/bam/account.php?action=edit D) BAM should be used to have WCG attached to hosts (See that point A is completed). Manual attaching directly in client often leads to detaching upon next BAM-Client contact (Disabled in newer clients preventatively). E) When a client is associated with an AMS, project detaching in the client is disabled. It has to be done via the AMS Website. F) Best to have 1 client with all your projects attached and active for the quickest synchronization of the account CPID after an email account change.
