Fraunhofer solar cells attain World Record efficiency rates

Interesting news from Germany:
For the first time, researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg have reached a record 41.1 percent efficiency in converting sunlight into electricity. The achievement bodes well for the future use of solar power.

Re: Fraunhofer solar cells attain World Record efficiency rates

I am looking forward to see if our crunching can break Fraunshofer's record within less than the ten years they needed to get an efficiency of 41,1%.
After all Fraunhofer is one of the most respected Research Institutes in Europe. Among others they found the algorithms of the MP-1 and MP-3 Standards - and contributed to reinvent the way of audio experience in the world.
