Evening all

I gather a lot of people around the world are celebrating today. It's the day that the sun is directly above the equator which was something like 11.44 here.

Can't say that I noticed it or did anything but it was sunny at that time as I arrived back from the weekly supermarket run.

Mind you it's difficult to get into the store with the massive bunches of flowers and the bottles of pink champagne they are trying to flog for Mothering Sunday. Good old Hallmark. In my day you walked up to the alter and got a small bunch of violets to hand to your mother.

Even then it had devolved from its original meaning which had nothing to do with one's human mother. It was a short holiday for workers to join their family for a service at their Mother Church rather than at the local village one.

You should be kind to your actual mother all the year long and not just one Sunday. I shall just remember mine and how she managed to put up with me when I was a revolting teenager.

If only the world could join together and make everyday a special day!

morning all
dull and overcast so far
wont have to worry about the sunscreen today

Did some gardening yesterday As the (Edited) was (Edited)
managed to cut my finger New Pruning shears
filled the compost bin, planted some tubs out & had several
Cups-O-Tea.
I didn't need no Mothers day cards to remember my Mum nor would she have thought it "nice" to send her Hugely overpriced Flowers.
she would have given me a right *ollcking
Car might get a wash today
Ah The (edited) has just broke through

A lot of sunshine over here, quite nice.
