Re: Normal service

Evening all

The rain that was forecast turned out to be a brief shower in the early morning so a mate and I had a first go on the grotty back door.
It's OK for now but he has lots of tools passed down from his carpenter father and we'll have a further go when sure of the weather so the door can be off and glued and clamped.

Now looking forward to my roast lamb dinner.

Re: Normal service

Good day all. We were under a Tornado Warning yesterday, but thankfully no damage here unlike the central U.S. where 5 people were killed and almost $250 million in damage.

Today is a beautiful day.

Take Care everyone!!!!

Re: Normal service

No, not a lie-in Alan, far from it. I have, amongst other things, been "fighting" with a new hose I treated myself to (for watering the garden!!). Finally got it attached to the kitchen tap which is very modern and a "sort of posh" up and over one, and before actually watering the garden, I was faced with cleaning up a very wet kitchen floor, re-connecting it when it decided to jump off the tap, drying and cleaning the kitchen window where it splattered all over, and finally (having watered the garden more or less successfully), getting it to coil up again into a circle (if you get my meaning)!

So that is me done for today (in more ways than one) so I am going to slob out this pm and catch up on some reading, or possibly have a little 'zizz' even!

Alter ...................... wink

Re: Normal service

Evening all

A pretty lazy day with no inclination to do much outside so pottered around and did some reading.

I've been through that Merle so now have an outside tap with a screw on connection.

No Janet, we didn't get that here confused Been completely dry until about half an hour ago, and now it is raining - that fine, and very wet sort! (Only to be expected of course, as I have bought this new hose!) sad crying
