Re: .

Evening all

Dry all day but pretty cool when I walked to get my prescription made up and pop into the bank.

Then, when I get back, I have a phone call from the Surgery telling me that my Doc has produced another prescription following the results of the blood test. Clearly the cholesterol has just popped over the acceptable value. Ain't it grand getting old!

Who is "Frosty?"

Good morning one and all, just worked out my fuel bill, it's cost me over £500 just to keep the house warm this year!

Re: .

Evening all

Thanks Olivia. I haven't got the new pills yet because neither Sainsbury's nor my local Chemist had them in stock and the latter said they they were a non standard prescription and so would have to be made up at source and so not available to me until Wednesday.
However, I can't think it will make any difference to the way I feel as it's a sort of preventative to stop my cholesterol level climbing higher.
In general, I suffer from the White Coat Syndrome in that as soon as I am anywhere near a Doctor my blood pressure jumps by several notches.

It's cold colder again here today and I think it is forecast for the same for the next few days so any chance of saving on gas for the central heating has gone bye byes. Still I read that 2010 was the warmest UK year on record. Don't want to worry you Merle.

Re: .

Yep, I read that too. It has definitely been a lot colder today than it has been lately. I consol myself with the thought that "I can't take it with me when I go!" And the kids don't really need it, so I'll keep just as warm as I want to, whenever I want to!! smile wink
