Morning everyone.
Merle's home to her version of the trojan wars! Welcome back. Ivan's "got the man in"! You wont regret it Ivan. I had mine done last year, and the house is tons warmer as a result! (Mine was a freebie too!) |

Evening all
I agree scribe. There is so much cost free protection around penetration of the machine should be a rarity. As for you Merle, Venice is a smashing choice but, although there's a lot of water, your feet are the main source of transport. I'm sure you're right Ted, it just a shame the guy didn't come a couple of months earlier. |

Good moaning
I see the snows back up north! could be worse , I wouldn't want to be in Queensland at present. Merle I was having lots of problems with computer viruses until I switched, 'under advise from my Bank' to Kapersky, I've not 'touchwood' had any problems since!. I also run a program from PC Tools called 'Registry Mechanic' this helps to keep my files clean from corruption, regular updates from Microsoft & Windows is an absolute must as this also helps to protect and costs nothing. The only problem I have is that my computer is old and slow and like myself the memory is not what it used to be!. I hope you all have a good day, stay warm, stay safe ............ Old Sage |

I agree scribe. There is so much cost free protection around penetration of the machine should be a rarity. I agree too!! And I have always had protection (free as well) but maybe this was the rarity! I have had a computer for years, and also used them at work for years (and that is ages ago), so no-one was more surprised than me that the "little devils" got in. And it took the professional almost all day to clean it all up again! So I guess, no-one should really be complacent. ![]() ![]() |

Evening all
That is bad luck Merle. On the belt and braces principle, I also do a full back up to an external hard drive once a week so that I can always get back to a good copy. The insulation guys came today but I couldn't find the owner of a car that had parked in front of my house so they did the downstairs doors and had to give the loft a miss as they couldn't get close enough for the pipe. So I'm going to have to wait until there's a space, block it with bins and then make another appointment. I'm just grateful that I'm not having to pay for their wasted time. |
