Re: Clotheslines and electricity

Our neighborhood covenants prohibit clothes lines, but we are allowed to have solar panels now thanks to a law the Colorado legislature passed in 2006.

Re: Clotheslines and electricity

How come?
Do people feel they are unsightly?
- but still travel to Sevilla and Napoli to look at the picturesque
clotheslines traversing the streets there?
Solar panels are fine, but they don't dry clothes.
The investment is considerable; maintenance should be small, tho.
Clotheslines are very fine:
Small investment, no expenses at all when running and low maintenance.

And let's face it: One of the big electricity guzzlers in our homes is a dryer.

We humans are a funny breed
- we shall rather be judgemental on taste
and discuss highbrow global warming
than put up a simple clothesline ... thinking

Re: Clotheslines and electricity

Seriously considering putting one of those retractable ones on my screened porch to try and keep the bugs, birds and critters off.
