Cross-Slovenia Grid

Hey all -

with some delay, here is the offical Cross-Slovenia Grid topic!

I've been absent for some time but hope to actively return results from now on (and also that this topic evolves into communication between members and maybe attracts new ones).

The team was created primarily with the aspiration to connect Slovenian home users, students and other interested parties, since other Slovenian teams were mostly corporate or individual.

Saj se lahko pogovarjamo v slovenščini! Pozdravljam idejo slovenske ekipe. Žalostno, da nas je tako malo :-( Zadevo bi bilo treba promovirat. Zanimivo bi bilo, če bi jo lahko kako spravili na televizijo ali promovirali v mestih. Drugače je pa moj najljubši projekt The Clean Energy Project, ker NIČ, niti medicina, raziskave in sam WCG ne morejo delovati brez energije, in ta bo morala postati čista in obnovljiva (dol s termoelektrarnami!).

V bistvu res ne vem, zakaj sem pisala v anglescini ... Pa naj uvod ostane angleski v imenu mednarodne prepoznavnosti ekipe, hehe.
Tule nas je res malo, imam obcutek, da nas je precej vec na SETI-ju, ceprav se WCG ukvarja z bistveno bolj perecimi problemi in ima SETI preobilje prostovoljcev in preobremenjeno infrastrukturo ...
Se strinjam glede pomembnosti Clean Energy Projecta, ceprav zelo redko dobim enote, ker imam sicer izbrane vse projekte. Nutritious Rice for the World mi je tudi pri srcu, ceprav me jezi, da je za globalno lakoto bolj ali manj kriva krivicna porazdelitev hrane in drugih virov - potrebna je boljsa politika, ne samo oplemenitenje riza.

Se malo, pa bomo obelezili prvi "veliki" mejnik (kaj, vsaka skupina je bila nekoc majhna s skromnimi kratkorocnimi cilji :D) - bliza se 1000 vrnjenih rezultatov!

For the sake of clarity the team has been renamed to Slovenia Grid.
Nothing else has changed - we still have a solid performance among small teams in challenges, we occasionally gain a new member, and remain the second largest (and the largest non-corporate) Slovenian team. Thanks to everyone for continuously donating time to projects, do encourage others to join! ;)
