Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Yes, congratulations Hypernova biggrin

What's your next goal (obviously, DDDT2 - although as that's still in the very early stages of it's conception, obtaining WU's is the issue there)? Perhaps, 5 years for all currently available projects? (that is, assuming that we're banking on the next level, being 5 years).

Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Thanks Pramo.

gb009761 you are right in asking the question. At this point all possible sapphire badges I could reach are reached save Beta and DDDT2.
Unfortunately I will remain stuck forever with a bronze for IADS and a gold for DDDT. A complete Sapphire badge table is impossible. Let me shed here a few tears.....................Done. Thank's. The past is the past.

Let's now look into the bright future smile what do we have:
1) DDDT2 is logically the next goal but at the moment does not appear to be achievable yet. I have switched since yesterday all my 10 planets to crunch a mix of FA@H, HFCC, HCC, DDDT2. I did not get even one WU of DDDT2. So wait and see. Sek mentioned that a mix of WU does result in a better use of the crunching capability of the multicore CPU's so I will test that. I decided to leave NRW to all those trying to get badges before the project ends. And frankly HPF2 was a disappointment in terms of crunching effectiveness so I stop here. It was normal that I contribute to this important cause this is why I did as I said my job. But this project is not working well on my machines except one. My results status list has swelled to nearly 7500 results (500 pages) which is not very mangeable. The PV list is 2640 WU units and the number of errors is enormous. So I leave this project to the crunchers which have CPU's or systems better adapted.
Then remains a long term goal for my retirement time biggrin , and that is to have at least a bronze Beta badge.

2) My space at home is limited (space for only two more devices), so to be able to increase my crunching capability in the same physical volume, I have two options. Dual sockets (with a small Watt/thread increase) and higher multicore CPU's (with same or lower Watt/Thread rate). Both things will happen over the coming weeks/months.

3) Then just to mention it there are the two following absolute very longterm milestones that stay on the back of the head, of 100 Million points and or 100 runtime years. Sweet dreams wink

Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Got Ruby.
So i am switching to HCC/DDDT2 so HCC can benefit from my 64b CPU and OS ald DDDT2 from my large RAM.
I let thit to older 32b systems which are better for HPF2.
