How do I get most work split between CEP and HFCC?

What I have done is to set my projects to both CEP and HFCC, and I am seeing HFCC for my last two downloads. Will HFCC always get precedence over CEP at this point so I don't get any CEP work? To split the work I get more evenly between these two projects, I think I may have to set CEP as the only project from time to time. I would much rather that BOINC gave me the option of what I want my preferred project to be.

Does anyone have any comments about this?

Prioritization of projects isn't a priority. Even if it was, you'd rarely see CEP work units because there are rarely any units out in the wild. The project is ending, so they limited it and said it was ending. Now everyone wants to top off their badges, so the chances of you getting work are very slim.

Although I turned HFCC off and I got a CEP down loaded.

But then I ran into a different problem.

I spoke too soon. The upload finally completed and the results reported.

Re: How do I get most work split between CEP and HFCC?

HFCC is distributed "normally" while CEP has always been in a low distribution mode for various reasons. If you look at the daily stats per project there about six times more HFCC WUs distributed each day than for CEP. Statistically you should not expect to see more than one CEP WU for six HFCC WUs. This is already not much, and it is possible that it is worse if all or most available CEP WUs are absorbed by members having selected CEP only.

Your chances to have a more balanced distribution would be better with a NRW/CEP mix since NRW is currently also in low distribution mode.
This is simply for illustrating my reasoning, it is not an attempt to make you change your choice. smile

Cheers. Jean.
