The months are just rolling by. We're already a couple days into November, which means it's time to look at how we did in October. First up are our daily averages.
 What's interesting here is that our CPU time increased, but our points did not. Still, it is a proportionate increase from July and August. I believe this just goes to show how exceptional September was, and what a great boost some of the latest new blood has been in light of some early October losses. Here is our monthly comparison.  Again, our points took a slight overall dip from September - just about 300,000 points difference. However, we showed an increase in Results for the month which is actually a new record at 37,526 results! Last of our charts is our work distribution.  Last month, Flu was our 3rd biggest project. Since it wrapped up this month, that meant there were plenty of cycles available for other projects. All three "Help" projects seemed to get the most....errr...help. But you'll be happy to know that each full time project received well over 2 years of CPU time (HCMD2 had over 6 years.) There were 64 milestones reached in October. Once again, 150,000 was the most popular, with 6 people reaching that. The biggest milestone reached was 1,500,000 by PecosRiverM. Finally, October saw another big team milestone for the year 2009. We passed 300,000 results returned for the year. That's a ton of work going towards some important research. Great job accomplishing so much! We have two months to go, keep at it and 2009 will be a monumental year! |

Just a couple follow up points to the monthly wrapup. First of all, I mentioned what a great month September was. Think about this. September was the first month where we ever broke 700,000 points in a day. We did that 13 times! We ended October breaking 700,000 points in a day 9 times. And to show you how well we regrouped in October, 7 of those times came in the last two weeks of the month.
Also, the team hit a major milestone! We've processed 900,000 results during the life of the team! If things go smoothly, we can break One Million in less than 90 days (and perhaps less than 80). |
