If you have a Thinkpad and your running boinc then you need to be running this program called TPFanControl
http://www.staff.uni-marburg.de/~schmitzr/donate.html I run it on my x41 and it works great! Keeps the CPU about 20 degrees cooler. This app is kind of like the SMC fan control for the Intel Mac's. Kinda.  |
