Re: What were they thinking....

....when they traded Joe Thornton to the San Jose Sharks for a few lesser lights? confused

Apparently they were thinking (correctly) that it would take something drastic like that to beat the Sens... d oh

Re: What were they thinking....

So is that the secret then? Trade away your best player just before you play the Sens if you want to beat them?? tongue

We get to watch Joe in his new jersey tonight as the Sharks make a stop at the ACC for a game against the Leafs.

I hate the sens... just thought I'd share that. I have nothing insightful to add to this conversation :)

Re: Canada For Life! peace

Hi Coffee,

This would be it. We are a fairly quiet group of crunchers. Anyone with the time, skills and resources to set up a web page with a forum for our team is more than welcome to do so.

I'd be more than happy contribute/discuss in the forum.

Finally! Someone to get a flaming hockey war started...consider it a warmup until we start griping about World Junior team cuts and prospects...TSN has the Americans as overwhelming favourites (if they work as a team instead of a group of individual primadonnas) and has practically written off Canada as extra training camp for next year's squad...

discuss and remember to duck for cover after you post... tongue

LOL! Welcome Hosers from the Great White North! biggrin As an Ave fan, I really dislike these OT games ending in "shootouts".

What was wrong with "tie" games? confused

'tis a Team game! wink

Its not hockey anymore but a Sports Entertainment business.... I gave up on it after all these years. Rather watch the Juniors or the local teams... At least they play and enjoy the game.

Re: What were they thinking....

Rudi the Red, I most certainly agree with you here.

Ehhh, I mean it's Hockey! Geez.

Oh yes, living in Colorado Springs (where NORAD is), I live in an area where I have always lived with "Hosers from the Great White North".

Great neighbors! And yes, we do not speak about politics. LOL! biggrin

About those 'Hosers' ... geez, can they drink. biggrin

And to think the shootout was added to attract more Americans to the game. d oh

You got to admit that they can be pretty exciting. That Rangers/Capitals game about a week ago that took 30 shooters to finish with a highlight reel goal by a defenseman must have been something to watch.
