Facebook is experiencing flood of Farm-Ville and other virtual world extensions, people seem to like it as they can show "their own creation" to others. In short you have some farm to take care after, buy/receive objects like cows or trees and place them in your own land. Then you can send items to others and of course share it with others.
It would be great to make WorldCommunityGrid "items" for those worlds, for example "Cancer killer machine" that you could "plant" in those games, but that would be "powered" by real World Community Grid client installed on your PC. So all points gained would be displayed on that virtual facebook item, generating admiration or envy of others. You could remind "wonders" of Sid Meier Civilization games, only this time wonder would be making real impact, as it would be connected to your true World Community Grid client/profile. Not sure it it is possible to create such objects or if Farm-Ville creators have to be contacted to make it. What do you think about such way to invite more volunteers? |

Probobly they would not do it unlessconsumer would flock to the service(farmville)

Is Farmville going to run the Apps or are they just getting items linked to their WCG stats? Unless these items give people leverage in the game, I doubt the trophies will really generate the user base increase that you fantasize. Did the creators of Farmville ever respond to you previously? I think they would need to have some incentive or at least express desire to participate with WCG. After all, Zynga is in the business to make money. Edited for typos.
