All my machines have been sitting pretty-much idle since the 12th when the last batches ran out, having just switched to DDDT-2 from NRW on the 11th. I took the opportunity to do fresh installs of Fedora 12 on a couple machines that were still running fc11. One of them took to its original /var/lib/boinc data files just fine, and the other refused to accept them and made a new ID for itself. :-| I thought there was a way to merge same-name device's time/results, but I'm not finding it. Anyway, I saw WUs were flowing again and checked the forum. 16+MB for a ~30 minute WU is kind of ridiculous, IMHO - people stuck on dialup simply can't run this, since it would take them 6 hours or so to download 30 minutes of crunching for a quad core. Not sure where y'all are mining your data... I got mine from Results Status on the MyGrid page. edit1: added CPU manufacturer [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 26, 2010 4:56:35 PM] |

So, I finally got a WU. It is running on a Core 2 Duo machine.
----------------------------------------The task is ts_02_b312_ps0000_1 When the task started, it said approx 54 hours. B ut at 10 hours, it had only completed 10%. But now, at 19:16:15, it is showing 28%, so a total of 68.75 hours. So, what is this? Is that "b" significant? Whoops! I just realized to slide the column over, it is a Type A, just like some people I know. I am hoping to see some WU's from DDDT2 on my i7-920 machine. That has not happened yet. >>RSM |
